Pitbull The singer won the title of best songwriter of 2011 BMI Pop Awards given annually by the organization of U.S. copyright Brodacast Music, Inc. (BMI), the bank said in a statement.
Pitbull shared the award with fellow winners Benny White and Esther Dean, while Katy Perry queFirework was considered best pop song of the year.
The ceremony of the 60th edition of the BMI Pop Awards held during the Tuesday night at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
The composition work was supported by Pitbull DJ Got Us All Threads Fallin In Love, Give Me Everything, Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor), I Like It and On the Floor.
Blow Benny Blanco wrote, Please Do not Go, Teenage Dream, We R Who We R and Dynamite, and Esther Dean was the author of What's My Name?, Rude Boy, S & M, Super Bass and Firework.
On March 30, Pitbull was featured in the awards gala BMI Latin Music where he received the honorary award in recognition of BMI Presidential influence in the entertainment world.
At the gala Pitbull also rose with BMI Latin Award Songwriter of the Year, a title he shared with Juan Luis Morena Moon "Wisin" Llandel Veguilla Malave "Yandel" and Espinoza Paz.
